Paxos & Antipaxos

The beautiful island of Paxos is the smallest of the Ionian Islands, lying around 11 km from the southernmost tip of Corfu. According to a Greek legend, Paxos was created when Posidon, god of the sea, struck the southern part of Corfu with his trident, to create a ''love shelter'' for himself and Amphitrite. The rich vegetation including thousands of olive trees, pines and cypresses, the picturesque coves, the cliffs and the exotic blue waters all contribute to the unparalleled natural beauty of the island. The three most popular villages here are Gaios, Lakka and Logos, all offering plenty of dining options as well as opportunities for nice walks.

Only 2 km South of Paxos, lies the little island of Antipaxos. The tiny and truly unspoilt island is renowned for its wonderful beaches with breathtaking, blue waters which have often been compared to the Caribbean's. Voutoumi and Vrika are the most popular beaches of Antipaxos and can easily be reached by boat.
